The Lovely Bones
After reading the book over 2 years ago the thrilling and touching story still haunted me so when hearing that it was going to be made into a film I was sceptical as to whether it would meet the expectations of the book. However this has got to be one of the best interpretations I have seen from book to film, staying very true to the book but also taking it that bit further with unsettling and heart wrenching scenes. Like the book, the film is chilling and will definitely make your hairs stand on end. From actors to the director everything was perfectly executed. ‘George Harvey’ the killer, disturbingly encapsulates the mind and essence of the killer with his awkward look and creepy laugh. Like the book I would give this film 9/10, it really is one of the best films I have seen in the past year that keeps you sitting on the edge of the chair in anticipation.
